The Experience
Down by Downtown (DxDT) is Roanoke's premier multi-day music celebration, transforming Downtown Roanoke with live performances across numerous indoor and outdoor venues each April. The festival spans four days and features a wide range of genres—from acoustic and folk to funk, soul, and rock—with many events free to the public and a ticketed headline show at Elmwood Park Amphitheater. The 2026 edition is headlined by New Orleans funk legends Galactic featuring Jelly Joseph.
